Jewelry By L. Brown Eyes

Oglala Lakota

L. Brown eyes makes traditional Oglala Lakota beaded jewelry and crafts. The quality of her work is excellent, and it is carried by several merchants in South Dakota and Nebraska, including the Museum of the Fur Trade in Chadron. Currently, she does not hallmark her jewelry. We know that the works here are by her because Prairie House Gallery ® purchased the works directly from the artist or from a reputable dealer.

Rita White Plume

Rita White Plume is a member of the Lakota Nation, located in the badlands of South Dakota. Her beadwork includes loom work, but her laboriously peyote-stitched pieces are her forte. Her work is meticulous and outstanding in quality.
